About Conference

Publicizing the concepts of freedom , democracy and human rights as addressed in AMMAN MESSAGE;

Making known the Islamic call for enhancing the principles of justice, moderation and equanimity emphasized in the MESSAGE;

Clarifying the Islamic underpinnings of respect for religions and faiths; tolerance, delight in human life, shunning violence, and repudiating extremism, intransigence and exaggeration, embodied in the MESSAGE;

and Implementing the recommendations of the Hashemite University previous conference on " The Role of Jordanian University Students in Carrying  Amman Message " held on campus during Dec. 6-7, 2005,

The Hashemite University holds its International Conference on "Amman Message in the Eyes of others " Dialogue, Moderation, Humanity, in the Hashemite University during Sep. 20-21,  2006.

Conference Themes:

The Conference addresses the following main Themes in its various sessions lasting for two days:

• THE MODERATE NATURE OF ISLAM AND ITS REPUDIATION OF EXTREMISM AND TERRORISM.

• HUMAN RIGHTS IN ISLAM

• AMMAN MESSAGE BETWEEN THE CLASH-AND  DIALOGUE- OF CIVILIZATIONS.

• THE HASHEMITE DYNASTY'S ROLE IN CARRYING THE MESSAGE OF ISLAM.

• THE "OTHER'S" IMAGE IN AMMAN MESSAGE .

• THE "OTHER'S" IMAGE OF ISLAM.

• MEANS AND MECHANISMS OF IMPLEMENTING THE ESSENCE AND CONTENT OF AMMAN MESSAGE.

A special dialogue session about the essence of Amman Message will be devoted to distinguished students from different Jordanian universities, and foreign students.
